Any suggestions for good art and/or design websites outside of DA that work in a similar way? But, you know, better?

In terms of art and fanart DA is still a great place, but the love for anime, character sheets and photos of cats is getting pretty overwhelming for me. For example it's probably only once a month I check out the popular work on the front page and see something I actually like.

I also don't know of any places to find good design work I can browse through easily, like corporate design and packaging. Here I feel like I have to dig and dig to find anything decent (though I'm lucky enough to be watching a few people I admire ).
I dare you to check out the Designs & Interfaces>Editorial Design gallery because it's literally full of half-arsed photomanips of the Jonas Brothers and Miley Cyrus, doujinshi covers and keyblade designs. Fair enough that they're on DA, but people could at least make my life easier and not miscat them to begin with >:/
